Plautdietsch word of the day: fuschlen (anglicized – fusheling)

Leina thought it might be prudent to let the Tjnals Rampel-shu know that the Pieta Hebat-shu had been spreading rumors about how the Heinrich Dyck-shu had been telling everyone that she had made the dress that the Ben Lepp-shu had been wearing at last Sunday’s faspa. This of course, was not true, as she had seen Mrs. Lepp-shu buy the exact dress at the Grunthal thrift shop. Leina didn’t want everyone around her to hear, so she leaned over and whispered it to the Rampel-shu.

Definition: fuschlen, (fushel’ing) to whisper or conceal your speech.
