Pronounced: plook-iych

(the "ch" sound is like when a cat is coughing up a hairball)

What it sounds like: an itch that you can’t scratch


 

Example: Peita new that he should not fill himself with sweets before supper. But he couldn’t resist having one of his mom’s fresh baked cinnamon buns. He just finished eating it when his father came around the corner. Hein looked at him and said, “Peita, wou lat’et die zou pluckijch? (Peter, why do you look so pluckijch ?)

What it really means: the appearance of hiding something \ to look or act guilty\ sneaky
