The McMenno Rib Sandwich from the Oba Yo Test Kitchen
3 lbs ground pork
1 lb worscht
Grind or finely chop raw worscht
Thoroughly mix chopped worscht and ground pork.
Season mixture with 1 ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper (or to taste) Shape into patties
Grill,fry or bake until done (160 internal temp. Do not over cook!)
Mix 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (I used regular Montreal steak sauce) with 2-3 tbsp rhubarb jam, and heat in sauce pan.
Dip each of the grilled patties into BBQ mixture, (remove excess sauce from patties). Broil patties on high heat until sauce mixture bubbles on patties. Usually 3-5 min)
Place each patty on a sliced tweibach.
Top with sliced bread and butter pickles and chopped white onions.
