It’s Saturday afternoon. Weekend cleaning is done. Floors have been waxed. And a classic sweet Mennonite favorite bakes in the oven for that eagerly awaited weekend event,….faspa! Yes,it was only on weekends when most Mennonites would break out the Betty Crocker confetti cake mix. Covered of course with whipped cream! A simple pleasure from a much simpler time.
