This dictionary is the definitive life’s work of Professor Jack Thiessen. He dubbed this extensive labour of love, “his life’s calling”. This revised edition has taken the better part of 50 years to be refined and readied for publication. We are fortunate that his life’s work has afforded us two editions, which were completed and became available in 2019. Today, these two Plautdietsch dictionary editions by Dr. Jack Thiessen are widely regarded as the largest and most complete and definitive Low German dictionary compilations in the world. A limited number of copies were printed and are still available. These dictionaries are worthy to be considered a family heirloom for future generations. We still have a few copies. Order Processing & Shipping
All orders are processed with 48 hours . Typical delivery time within Canada and U.S. is between 5-14 days depending on your delivery location and Canada Post routes and schedules.
For international destinations, please allow additional transit time. All publications are shipped with tracking so you will be able to traced your orders while they are in transit.
All our books are packed in bubble or carded mailers to protect them during transit. They will be shipped through Canada Post tracked ground service for Canadian deliveries.
Please note that shipping rates applies to all destinations for all order value based on weight and size of package.
There are different options available through Canada Post. Please enter your shipping address when you are at the check out page for the interface with Canada Post to quote a rate for your consideration. However, if you are purchasing 2 or more publications, it is more advantageous to ship with the Flat Rate Expedited for Canadian destination.
We are currently experiencing some interruptions with some international destinations. Please contact us if you need any publications sent outside of Canada or U.S., and your international address is not accepted in our Canada Post interface at check out.
We are careful in packing our orders for shipping and we do not ship broken or damaged products. However, we do realize that sometimes the unexpected could happen during transit. If your order arrived damaged. please take a picture of the package before you open it, and the products inside the box/package as you open the package so that we can file a claim with the carrier and resend your order. If your order is delivered to you in person or at depot pickup, please ask the courier to mark the outside damages before you sign for your package.
