Plautdietsch word of the day: ommäajlich

Plautdietsch word of the day: ommäajlich

Pronounced: om-ale-ich (ich is the sound sound of a hissing cat)

What it means: Impossible

Here we see my dad trying to take a bite out of an apple. (I'm not sure what grampa was thinking)  With only a few teeth, it was almost ommäajlich.

Plümi moos is a delicious sweet plum soup that may bring back memories around your family Easter table. A simple traditional faspa was plümi moos, sliced ham, tweibach & butta, coffee & zocka schtetja (sugar cubes). Seja eefach oba schmatjt seja scheen! (Very simple but very delicious)

But why only enjoy it once a year? Make plümi moos any day and enjoy a special taste that is so well known to all Mennonites! Plümi moos and all your Mennonite favorites are included in the Mennonite Treasury of Recipes!
