Who needs a cell phone!? Steinbach get it's first "drive-in telephone"!

Steinbach got it's first "drive-in telephone" in 1952. Steinbach has always been a community that has embraced cutting edge technology to make everyday life simpler and more efficient. Ah the simpler times of yesteryear! Compare that to a three year contract of $150 per month for a cell phone! Technology was suppose to make our lives "easier" and cheaper,.right? ;-)

Passengers aboard the British Route Master could enjoy a scenic view along the way. You’d pass the sights of Stony Brook, Jakes Husky and some of the last prairie grasses around Steinbach that would eventually turn their sod over to pavement in the next 35 years. The prairie grasses are long gone, as is the British double decker bus that once whisked eager shoppers to the new Utopian shopping experience...
